For us – movie buffs – working with The Academy is a dream coming true. The dream is even more magical, when you can tell a story of one of the greatest actors of our times.
Once Upon a Time...
The speech Brad Pitt gave while being recognised for his role in Quentin Tarantino’s 'Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood' tells a story of a young boy who dared to dream big. We wanted to bring some nostalgia and surreality to his journey with a deliberate use of paint strokes, negative space, and stylised 3D environment. In addition, we showcased some of our favorite Brad Pitt roles to fill the animation with some Hollywood glare.
The result is a great Oscars promo, which reminds us what it’s all about – dreaming and fulfilling the dream.
